BALI

Bali

March 17-21 2019. The school organizes activities namely Cultural Tours to Bali. Cultural Tours aim to introduce cultures in Indonesia, especially Bali for students (class of 2020). This activity is routinely carried out every year and is a highly anticipated activity by students. Because in addition to knowing new cultures, we can also holiday between our busy life as students.

Departure. We were divided into 3 aircraft groups. My class is flight 2 which is 10. We leave via Hussein Sastranegara Airport. It takes about 1½ hours.

Arriving in Bali. We met our local guide named Mbok Ayu. Then our first destination was the Krisna shopping center (This is a sudden decision made for several reasons). Then we headed for Jimbaran Beach for dinner. This seafood restaurant in Jimbaran is located right on the beach so we can enjoy the view of the sunset. However, it suddenly rained heavily. So we panicked and took shelter. But it was too late because it's soaked.

Many foods got wet. We were forced to be repatriated faster than planned. Next, head to the hotel. We stayed at the Quest Hotel, Denpasar.

The second day. The first destination was Tanjung Benoa Water Sport. Many choices of water sports are available such as jetski, banana boat, diving, snorkeling. There is also the choice of going to the turtle island.

After lunch, we headed to the place of worship which has 4 places of worship from different religions. Then, we headed to Pandawa Beach. One of the relatively new beaches in Bali.

The next destination was GWK cultural park. We have changed outfit for a group photo session. At GWK cultural park, there are several giant pantung. There is also a bicycle rental place for visitors to explore the GWK Cultural Park area.

After sunset. We watched a show about culture at Devdan Show. An indoor theater that shows Indonesian culture.

The third day. On this day the journey is quite long because of traveling far apart. The first destination was Tirta Empul, located in Gianyar. Which is famous for its holy water where many people seek purification. At this destination, we met with a traditional ceremony.

The second destination was Kintamani restaurant. We can eat as much as we can because it includes all you can it (International Buffet) restaurants.

Next. We headed to the traditional village of Penglipuran. Not too far from Kintamani restaurant. But unfortunately it suddenly rained. So we scattered. This village is famous as one of the tourist destinations in Bali because of its people who still run and preserve traditional Balinese culture in their daily lives.

At night we are ready for the event "Makrab". This night of intimacy is specifically for 3'2020 For the purpose, we use the ballroom of Nirmala hotel, which is quite close to the Quest hotel.

The fourth day. We check out the Quest hotel. Heading to Kuta Beach. We got ± 4 hours free time. Our gathering point was at Krisna Shopping Place and lunch. Next we head to Bedugul as our last destination in Bali. In Bedugul we parted ways with Mbok Ayu.

After that, we began a long journey to Bandung. This is one of the most valuable moments for us. We arrived at Gili Manuk port at midnight. Then cross to Katapang Port. In the morning, we had breakfast at the Bromo Asri restaurant as well as preparation for bathing.

We stopped by the Suramadu bridge. Then go to the gubeng station to take the train to Bandung. We arrived in Bandung at 5:05 a.m. Cultural tour was finished.
